What is my IP Address?

WiiHomebrewMaster, says..
You have 2 IP Addresses.
One is your local IP Address. The router/modem that connects to your Internet provider usually has a DHCP server which hands out local addresses to all devices that connect to it, either through Wi-Fi or Ethernet. This address is usually something like: 192.168.1.25 or 10.0.0.25.
Every device on your local network has it's own unique address.
The next address is the public or WAN IP Address. This address is assigned by your Internet provider to the modem/gateway. This address might look like 15.8.4.55.
I don't know which one of these addresses you need. If you need your local address, you'll have to go into the settings of the device and look for the IP address. If you need your WAN Address, you can type "What is my IP" into Google and it'll tell you what your WAN Address is.

This is your public IP address https://www.google.com/search?q=ip+addre... Every computer and device on your network will give the same result as part of what a router does is share your public IP address with your entire network.
To find your private IP address type cmd in Cortana. type ipconfig /all. Your address will be listed there on the entry for your nic.

People apparently don't know the difference between "public" and "private" IP addresses.
Your public IP address is what the rest of the internet sees when you connect to websites - such as Google. However it is not the IP address of your physical computer - nor can people outside of your network (e.g. house, school, office...) access your computer using your private IP address even if you gave it to them.
